Ascension

Before Taisung the Tao will descend and grant the world the knowledge he possesses, you must first do the bidding of Celestial Tai within the Crystal Hall of Jadeon (120, 110).

Unlocking Ascension

Defeat 20 Celestial Vanguards in Shura, near the Djinn Palace (-314, 308).

Upon completion of the quest, you will receive 50 Taichi Pills and 100 Affinity Beads. You may obtain the quest once per day.

Once the quest has been completed a total of 1,000 times (combined total of all players on the server), Taisung the Tao will appear in Jadeon (140, 112).

The Elder of Arcaneness, located atop the spire at the southern border of Jadeon (6, -432), will instruct you in your efforts to achieve immortality.

Note: 1) Ascending will return your character to LV15.

2) All quests, other than the main Mandatory storyline, will be reset.

3) All Skill and Tome Points will be reset.

4) You will be given the opportunity to join a different Faction. Depending on the combination of the Faction you were in prior to Ascending, and the Faction which you join after Ascending, various aspects of your character will benefit.

5) Though you will retain your items and Gear, you cannot equip items which you do not meet the LV or Tier requirement of.

6) While you are only able to Ascend upon reaching LV135, each subsequent LV you attain prior to Ascending will influence the attributes of your character once Ascended.

Bloodbond

Hint: Take your old, unused Gear to the Bloodbond Master in the Southern Border.

Ascension Trials Part 1:

When you believe you are ready to ascend, speak with the Elder of Arcaneness and choose your path.

Option 1 - Obtain 50 Magic Lollipops... from Tonni in Sunstream City (154, 146).

You may obtain Magic Lollipops from Tonni in exchange for Tigeren Crystals.

Once you have collected all 50 Magic Lollipops, present them to Tonni and she will tell you a secret about immortality.

	Gives 120 Defense for 8 hrs.

Option 2 - Defeat 49 Celestial Vanguards in the northwest Shura, near the Djinn Palace.

Speak with Taisung the Tao once the task is complete and he will tell you a secret of immortality.

Option 3 - Speak with Banker Etsuk in Sunstream City (200, 60) and pay him 1,000 Gold in exchange for the information.

Note: There is a possibility he will refuse to tell you. In this case, you retain your 1,000 Gold.

Once you have completed the trial, return to the Elder of Arcaneness to obtain the next trial.

Ascension Trials Part 2:

Option 1 - Slay 999 Monkey Phantasms on plains of Jadeon.

Option 2 - Banish 999 Deadpool Loners from the Doom Bog.

Option 3 - Defeat 999 Zaaras Disciples in Sunstream.

Choose to go forth without claiming the souls of others.

Note: There is a possibility for the quest fail if choosing to not fight anything.

Ascension Trials Part 3:

Defeat Skyscream.

Return to the Elder of Arcaneness to obtain the Nirvana Insignia.

Travel to Taisung the Tao and present him with the Nirvana Insignia to ascend and become an immortal.

Note: As Skyscream is no longer in his lair, players who possess a Skyblade may travel to the northern edge of the Wildlands and assist those in need.
